Marine Electronics
Installation
Chartplotters, AIS, VHF, autopilot, radar, sonar, and full NMEA 2000 networking — installed and integrated by specialists who know BC's coastal waters.
The Right Gear,
Properly Integrated
Marine electronics are only as good as their installation. A chartplotter that doesn't talk to your autopilot, an AIS that isn't connected to your VHF, or a depth sounder wired incorrectly can make expensive equipment useless — or worse, give you false confidence on the water.
We install and integrate the full range of marine electronics — navigation, communication, safety, and power management — making sure everything works together on NMEA 2000 or NMEA 0183 networks the way it's designed to. Clean installations, properly routed cables, and full system commissioning.
Chartplotters & MFDs
Multifunction displays showing charts, radar, sonar, AIS, and instrument data in one place. Networked together so your helm station has everything at a glance.
AIS Transponders
Class B AIS transponders for vessel tracking — both transmitting your position and receiving traffic around you. Integrated with chartplotters to show targets on screen.
VHF Radio
Fixed-mount VHF radios with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) for distress signalling, connected to GPS for automatic position reporting. Proper antenna installation and routing.
Autopilot Systems
Autopilot installation and calibration — below-deck drive units, control heads, and rudder feedback sensors. Tuned to your vessel's steering characteristics for reliable passage-making.
Wind, Depth & Instruments
Masthead wind instruments, depth transducers, paddlewheel speed sensors, and cockpit instrument displays. All networked to share data across your chartplotter and autopilot.
NMEA 2000 Networking
Building or reworking an NMEA 2000 backbone so all your electronics share GPS, depth, wind, and engine data on one clean network. Proper termination, load calculation, and cable management.
Why Professional
Installation Counts
Marine electronics are a significant investment. Improper installation — wrong transducer placement, poor antenna routing, incorrect NMEA wiring, or inadequate power supply — can render expensive equipment unreliable or inaccurate when you need it most.
Transducer Placement Is Critical
A depth sounder transducer in the wrong location gives false readings or loses signal at speed. Positioning depends on hull type, deadrise angle, and proximity to turbulence sources.
Antenna Routing Affects Performance
VHF and AIS antennas must be positioned and cabled correctly for full range. A poor cable run or wrong connector type can cut effective range significantly.
NMEA 2000 Networks Need Proper Design
An overloaded or incorrectly terminated NMEA 2000 backbone causes intermittent failures across all connected devices. Load calculation and backbone design matter.
Autopilot Calibration Requires Expertise
An autopilot that isn't properly tuned to your vessel's steering response will hunt, oversteer, or simply not hold course — defeating the purpose entirely.

Our Installation Process
From single unit installs to full helm station builds — every job gets the same attention to detail.
System Assessment
We review what you have, what you want, and how it needs to connect. We identify any existing wiring issues before they become problems.
Equipment Selection
We help you choose the right equipment for your vessel type, usage, and budget — not just the most expensive option available.
Professional Install
Clean cable runs, proper connectors, correct transducer placement, and full NMEA 2000 network integration. Mounted and sealed to marine standards.
Commission & Test
We commission every device, verify data sharing across the network, calibrate autopilot and instruments, and make sure you know how to use the system before we leave.
